From Abandoned to Amazing in Washington’s Wilderness
When Taylor, Chiko’s Momager was in the process of moving from New England to the PNW, she knew that her and her partner wanted to add a new and furry member to their family and once they saw Chiko’s photo on a local Washington State shelter website, they knew that they had to meet him. His expressive face was irresistible and they couldn’t wait to learn more about the pup they were so drawn to.
Upon meeting Chiko, they learned that he had been through a lot, leading up to his short time at the shelter including being tied up to a fence and abandoned in the snow.
His will to live helped him escape his shackles and make his way to a busy intersection where he was rescued and taken to the local shelter where he began his rehabilitation and a new chapter in his life.
When Taylor met Chiko she knew she had found an amazing dog; for having been through so much, he was so trusting and loving of people.
A few weeks later he was officially made a part of the family and they can’t imagine life without him.
He is the best hiking and adventure buddy they could ever wish for, and loves a good snuggle after a day of exploring. He’s a goofy personality who really knows how to pull it together and look really regal while posing for a photo in his Hundenfolk gear.
